We've had a very busy week in the Artroom, all our art clubs have resumed after the short winter February break ,

This week we will be continuing to be inspired by art and crafts from around the world. Countries which we will alrteady have visited include Russia and Scotland. We are now concentrating on art from Japan. this week our art clubs have made some fabulous japanese wall hangings.

The teens are working hard on abstract paintings using acrylics and learning to bend masking tape as part of their creations.

And our adult's painting groups will be working with a variety of media including  watercolour, oil and charcoal.

Also this week there will be a temari ball workshop where participants learn the beautiful decorative technique of wrapping fine threads to form intricate patterns. we still have a few spaces available, More details can be found out through our contact details and by checking our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/TheArtRoomwithinTheOldSchool

Or why not drop by and come speak to us where we will only be too happy to help if we can

The art room would also like to thank the Scottish Touirist board for awarding us a four star tourism award again.
